Halfway Reflection

Tenacious is a Competency: One of the behaviors that I have developed to keep up with the requirements of the course is courage. You need to be courageous to go out and ask random people who you have never met before to be interviewed about a random product that you have thought up in your mind. Many people reject you and say no to your interview invitation, so you just need to learn to not take those rejections to heart. You also need to be extremely organized in this course. If you are not organized, you will forget to do some of your assignments and will fall behind in the class. I feel that these two behaviors were the most important I developed during the class.

2) I feel like I definitely have developed a tenacious attitude in the last couple of months. It takes a tenacious attitude to develop the idea behind a product that could potentially changer an entire market. Trying to figure out what people are lacking in their every day lives is a tough endeavor, and to find a solution to that problem is an even tougher one. However, I feel as though I will be able to take this new tenacious attitude with me for the rest of my life as an entrepreneur. I felt like giving up one tie during a lacrosse game in which we were down by 6 goals at half time. Although we did end up losing the game, we were able to cut it down to a one goal game and a more respectable defeat. That taught me to always keep my head down.

3) The first tip I would offer to foster the tenacious attitude you must have would be to not worry what others will think of you when you are doing something with a goal in mind. The second tip I would offer would be having to do with fostering the skills that support tenacity. I would tell the future person of this class to become custom to a set schedule. You will be much more organized if you take time at night to schedule out your next day. The next piece of advice I have is to remember to leave time to do the little things that you enjoy or you will go crazy.

Be tenacious!

  1. I think your reflection encompasses the self confidence aspect of tenacity. You have to have a certain level of pride in who you are to be able to continue without deterrence. That self assurance lets your know that by not giving up you are doing the right thing. Great reflection and great job so far.
