My Entrepreneurship Story

My entrepreneurship story is a relatively simple one. I am from Miami, and went to a very selective private all boys high school. As you would imagine, many of my friends parents were extremely successful entrepreneurs. One in particular that had an impact on me was my best friend's father. He was a tycoon in the Miami real estate market. Anything having to do with real estate, he was able to sell you on. He also used many other avenues to secure multiple streams of income. I became infatuated with the fact that he completely determined how he wants his day to play out. Not only did he make a lot of money, but he also did not have to answer to anybody and it drew me in. I would like this class to open my eyes to what exactly I can expect in the every day life as an entrepreneur. Also, I would like to learn about the hardest parts of being an entrepreneur.

  1. Nick,

That is very lucky of you having so many role models in the entrepreneurship field to look over and consistently use as a resource for help. Real estate is a great example of entrepreneurship and is a great field to make tons of money while meeting tons of people. I have heard many good things about Miami, Florida while I am from Long Island, New York. I recently went to a school 30 minutes outside of Tampa and then moved home and transferred to UF. I look forward to a great semester and hope to learn a lot about what makes a great entrepreneur.
